WHAT'S HAPPENING?

I'm sad about ATCards.com closing down but I've joined a couple of other groups to trade ATCs and have taken another look at Nervousness and was glad to see a better format than it used to have and so joined that yesterday.

The Bean is washing her clothes and we've been cleaning house all day.

Zephyrpie is watching Zach and Cody (The Suite Life of) and playing with her new Nentendo DS (playing Nentendogs) which finally came in to the stores again.  We've been looking since before Christmas and no one has had one.  I was getting so tired of hearing about it.

Shirley is asleep in her hiding place between the couch and the bookcase.

MissaSleepyhead is curled up asleep in the middle of my bed.

Bob and Charly are both on The Bean's bed.  Bob is not asleep...Charly is.

I'm listening to an audiobook, The Ambler Warning by Robert Ludlum.  I just finished Stephen King's Duma Key the other day.  It was very good.  I'm glad he's still writing.

Now I need to get some mail together to mail on Tuesday...no mail on Monday, President's Day.

See ya,
Maggie

MR. SCOTT

Last weekend I lost Mr. Scott.  He was almost three years old. He didn't act sick before he died, he just went into his barrel house and went to sleep and didn't wake up.  He was a good fish and I loved him very much.  I'll miss him.  He was named for Mr. Scott on Star Trek because he looked like he had on a Star Trek uniform.

WORK DOESN'T SUCK QUITE AS MUCH

Three years ago, I got transferred to another department without notice and ever since I've been trying to get back.  Recently, the manager asked me to go to my original unit on a temporary basis and take over an early morning shift that had been vacated.  I was thrilled!  Then, on Thursday of last week, the manager told me I was officially back in the group and I was not to do any more work for the other group.  I am so happy!  Also, the pit behind me has been cleaned and disinfected and the occupant is gone for good.

JACK'S BIG SHOW

My friend Sharon won tickets to Jack's Big Show on Jack FM the radio station I now listen to when I'm not listening to my iPod or to Dr. Laura on The Word FM.  Sharon sits next to me at work and we are both so excited about the show that we have overpowered the excitement of Michele's and Lisa's upcoming trip to Mexico.  That's because it's not just one great band, it's Don Henley, Stray Cats, and The Pretenders.  It's going to be a blast!                                  Are you going to be there?

A REAL POST

I hear thunder. It's raining. My migraine is back. I'm going back to bed.
